Introduction to PHP Programming Server-side scripting tutorial coding

Introduction to PHP PHP is a server side programming/scripting language PHP allows you to serve websites with processing done on the server so what do I mean by server side? Server side processing is where PHP pages are saved on the web host, these pages can be very simple or they can be very complicated and provide functionality to a web page that far exceeds the capabilities of HTML. So what's the difference between server side and client side? ok so client side is where the programming elements are all loaded into the browser at the point of use so a programming language that does this would be in Javascript and it's added to the coded in a HTML page and downloaded at the time of when the visitor visits that page and any processing is done on that page in real time or real enough time and uses the visitors computer to process the functionality that. Where server side differs is the functionality written in the PHP files is processed on the server and can take advantage of software and services installed on the server, giving the the site abilities to do high memory and processing tasks without bogging the visitors computer down. PHP is an Open Source scripting language meaning it's free to use and it has the ability to be embedded into HTML documents (albeit with a .php extension) Much like most programming languages PHP has open and close tags which signifies that PHP code needs to be processed within these tags. An example of PHP code is: So lets take a look at this First you have the open PHP tag which tells the browser this is PHP Second the echo command will output whatever is within the double quotes " in this case Hello World. This line as with all lines in PHP is terminated before the end PHP tag to say this is the end of the instruction, process it now. And third the end PHP tag to say this is the end of the PHP code. This works well when embedding php into HTML pages as you can see where the start and end of your code is. This is how I code. This is what a typical PHP embedded HTML page looks like As you can see indenting code regardless of HTML or PHP is a bonus as you can see what code is grouped and nested with what. This is the introductory video in a series for PHP: Web Programming Made Easy. The rest of the course will show you how to install a PHP environment and will teach you about the language and we will create our first dynamic website together. online course web design start coding sql

Star Trek Discovery Pilot Review Episode 1, 2, 3 why do this cbs star trek: discovery sci fi

Something is found lurking at the edge of Federation space, and Starfleet will never be the same. Explore an all-new era of Star Trek weekly with my episode reviews. In this video I review the first 3 episodes which consist of: 1 "The Vulcan Hello" 2 "Battle at the Binary Stars" 3 "Context Is for Kings" I am currently reviewing episode: 4 "The Butcher's Knife Cares Not for the Lamb's Cry" Star Trek: Discovery is an upcoming American sci fi television series created for CBS All Access by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman. It is the first series developed specifically for that service, and the first Star Trek series since Star Trek: Enterprise concluded in 2005. Set roughly a decade before the events of the original Star Trek series and separate from the timeline of the concurrent feature films, Discovery explores the Federation-Klingon cold war while following the crew of the USS Discovery. Gretchen J. Berg and Aaron Harberts serve as showrunners on the series, with producing support from Akiva Goldsman. Sonequa Martin-Green stars as Michael Burnham, the first officer of the USS Shenzhou and later the USS Discovery. The new series was announced in November 2015, and Fuller joined as showrunner the next February. In addition to Fuller and Kurtzman, who wrote for previous Star Trek series and films, respectively, the crew includes several other previous Star Trek creatives. Fuller wanted to make an anthology series, beginning with a prequel season to the original series, but CBS asked that he make a single serialized show first. In October 2016, after further disagreements with CBS and struggles with other commitments, Fuller left the series. Berg and Harberts took over day-to-day production using a mythology and broad story arc established by Fuller, while Goldsman joined then as support. The production put emphasis on carrying on the legacy of the previous series, including making efforts to feature a diverse cast. The values and designs of the Federation were updated for the series, but were expected to evolve towards those of the original series throughout Discovery's run. The show also heavily features the Klingon species, with the intent of exploring the central conflict from both perspectives. The Klingons were redesigned for the series, with influence from their previous appearances, the original inspirations for the species, and the novel The Final Reflection, as well as research on biology and evolution. The Klingon language is also extensively used. Discovery is filming in Toronto, and has filmed on location in Jordan. Star Trek: Discovery is set to debut on CBS on September 24, 2017, with that episode and the rest of the 15-episode first season being made available on All Access. The season is split into two chapters, with the first chapter finishing in November 2017, and the second chapter beginning in January 2018. Trying to survive an adventure in hotel staying - Vlog14

In this, my 14th vlog I go to Lyon France, and a few other places like Wallingford in Oxfordshire and discover there is a Violin repair and sales shop. I've never seen that. It's been a crazy few months and it's stopped me from doing regular weekly vlogs, so this video is a mish mash of the last couple of months. From my first ever trip to Gatwick Airport, to my first trip to Lyon in France and my first time flying with the easyjet airline, to the first time staying near my workplace, and staying in a really old hotel in Manchester. So in this video, I have stayed in 5 hotels but I've only filmed 2-3. List of Hotels: Ibis Lyon, Travel Lodge, The Grand Manchester, Holiday Inn, The George in Wallingford And I am currently on another crazy week travelling

Jenson Button's McLaren fastest on day one of Jerez testing

McLaren's Jenson Button set the fastest time of the first day's pre-season testing after an early failure.
Button missed five hours' running with a fuel-pump problem before going nearly a second clear of his closest pursuer, Mark Webber's Red Bull.
Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg managed 11 laps before suffering a wiring-loom problem, which needed to be modified overnight.
Max Chilton crashed following suspension failure in his Marussia.
The 21-year-old Englishman was unhurt after losing control during the afternoon at the end of the back straight. The team will do no further running until they have diagnosed the cause of the problem.
"This was the first pushing session of the day. We did one good lap and the car felt really nice and then coming down the back straight I was just about to brake and something gave way," said Chilton.
"I couldn't control it, I tried but I couldn't. It's unfortunate but I think the team know the issue and we should be back on the track tomorrow afternoon."
Despite McLaren's early problem, Button ended the day 0.848secs clear of Webber, who was less than 0.1secs ahead of Lotus's Romain Grosjean.

Force India's Paul di Resta was fourth quickest, ahead of the Toro Rosso of Daniel Ricciardo, Ferrari's Felipe Massa, Sauber's Nico Hulkenberg and Rosberg.
Although headline times in testing are effectively meaningless as it is impossible to know the configuration in which the car is running, the McLaren's early pace will be encouraging for Button.
But the team will be concerned by the failure, which was in a part made by engine manufacturer Mercedes that has been modified over the winter in an attempt to prevent a repeat of the failure that caused Lewis Hamilton's retirement from the lead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
McLaren effectively lost the championship last season because of a series of reliability problems.
Button admitted the problem was "not ideal" but said he was encouraged by the feeling of the car.
"It's a nice starting point. Nothing stands out as a big issue, but lap times mean nothing right now," he said.
Massa described Button's pace-setting lap as "an incredible time" but indicated he felt he could have comfortably matched anyone else's laps if necessary.
Webber said the Red Bull "feels pretty good, so I'm happy".
Mercedes, meanwhile, are desperately trying to make up ground on the front-runners after ending last season struggling even to score points.
Rosberg's car briefly caught fire when the wiring loom failed and after investigating the problem the team realised they needed to stop running for the day.
New signing Hamilton is scheduled to have his first run in the car on Wednesday.
Rosberg said he was encouraged by his first proper run in the car, however brief.
"Very good, very positive," he said. "I can't say if it was quick or not, but feeling-wise I was comfortable. I could push, the balance was OK and it was very enjoyable to drive.
"I can guarantee you it will be a big step forward, but everybody else is also moving forward. We are hoping that we have closed the gap."
Williams's Pastor Maldonado - the only driver in a 2012 car, albeit with extensive 2013 parts on it - was ninth, ahead of Caterham novice Giedo van der Garde and Chilton.
