From such amazing series as the legendary Scooby-Doo to Underdog to the educational Schoolhouse Rock, the '70s might've been the best decade for regular Saturday morning viewings. If one cartoon had you laughing so hard your belly ached, Another would teach something important, and the third would show you that creativity and wit are a vital part of life. Whether you call them vintage, classic or old-timey, the animated series of the 1950s were wildly entertaining and way ahead of their time. Although some people may think cartoons are just for kids, the carefully constructed plots and clever characters actually attracted audiences of all ages.
